OMG! if the next 2.5 weeks are anything like today, i'm going to be one tired girl!! the olympics are EVERYWHERE you go in the city. it's crazy! first, i have to say that my host family is awesome!! very chill and it's actually really nice to be able to come home after a long day. mr. harden even had a bottle of wine open when i got home... fabulous!!!
so to start my day, i made my way to the USA house after figuring out the bus system, and orientation was VERY modified for me and the other 5 ladies that were there. we were kind of thrown into things since it's the day before the actual opening of the house! i was sent on errands, was a filler for the olympic hall of fame press conference, attended by dan jansen and picabo street, then ralph lauren came in to check out all the polo apparel at the USA house store (that's closed to the general public :( ). oh, and during my random errands at home sense (a home goods store) i saw the figure skater johnny weir...fun fun! i also saw sway from mtv doing an interview with an artist that did this sweet chalk drawing of all the olympics hall of famers, which was what i got to see with picabo and dan jansen. anyway, my shift ended at 4 and then i walked around and took some pics. it's not the prettiest day here, lots of rain, fog, and overcast, but i got some fun pics and figured out where things were :)
then...on my way home, the seabus that i take to get back was closed. waa waa...i made it back tho and am relieved to be hanging out with some vino and chatting more with the fam!
