i don't think much will ever compare to the excitement and fun of yesterday, but today was pretty cool. i had a night shift at the USA house so got to spend the day hanging out and watching a few events on tv and do some other exploring too. my host mom took me for a run along the river and over a bridge to west vancouver. the scenery was amazing and even though it was overcast, i could still see quite a bit of the city. we took the dog to the dog park as well and they can just run all over next to the water, it was fun. then i came to the house for my first night shift from 5PM-1AM. it's a much different atmosphere at night, especially on a saturday. there are quite a few people here just watching the games and socializing. it was fun to be here to watch the men's speed skating and some of the figure skating short program. ohno won the silver and is having a medal party here as we speak!! other celeb sightings for me today include queen latifah, meredith viera, i saw nancy kerrigan in the bathroom, oh and yesterday i saw arnold schwarzenegger and his wife maria shriver shopping at the polo store here. tomorrow i was supposed to have an off day, but they've asked me to come in for a couple hours to help out. i'm going to go to a yoga class and then come in for a bit before my host family has a big sunday night dinner!! hope you've all been enjoying the games :)
